APPG's December newsletter is now published.
Liz Truss MP

Writing for this edition, the Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade, The Rt Hon Liz Truss MP said:

"The UK has an ambitious trade and investment agenda and I am delighted to work with the Trade and Export Promotion All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on this new and exciting chapter in the UK’s history. The group will focus on important issues such as trade policy, investment, trade finance and trade promotion.

The UK is fast becoming a global hub for the services and tech trade as well as being the best destination for foreign direct investment in Europe. Together, we can promote the UK as world leader in industries of the future such as tech, services, food and drink, and advanced manufacturing.

As an independent trading nation, we can be more outward facing than ever before, strengthen partnerships with old allies and forming fresh partnerships with new friends worldwide.

After nearly fifty years without our own voice, we are back at the table. We can use our G7 presidency next year to lead the global fightback for free and fair trade. Parliamentarians and industry have an important role to play as we become a truly independent trading nation and I look forward to working with the APPG to help us achieve trade deals that benefit every part of the UK and across all industries."
